Feeling like a rubber ball being bounced here, there, and everywhere and feel you just need to go in a corner and catch your breath? I’m here to help!
As a licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of experience with helping kids and families. I feel my purpose in life is to help others discover that they possess the tools inside them to be on a journey to discovering prosperity and growth in their lives.
Having been a naturally quiet person all my life, I can remember several classmates and people throughout my life would come and talk to me when no one was around (1) When they spoke to me I assured them that confidentiality is important to me (2) They knew that I was someone they could trust with their secrets, and they would walk away feeling better in regards to whatever issue they were dealing with. With that being said my therapeutic style is empathetic yet straightforward.
In my years of practice, I have found most success when clients are serious about therapy and look forward to collaborating with me in helping the work through issues of self-esteem, depression, adjustment and anger issues, etc. just to name a few. Come take part in this non-judgement zone and work with me in helping you the expert of your life to navigate through life’s challenges. I look forward to working with you soon.

Ashley Montondon
LCSW
My name is Ashley and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I’ve worked in the mental health field in Houston over the past 15 years providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, program development, and peer support. When I’m not in the office I love to be running, listening to live music, and cooking my favorite shrimp tacos for the favorite people in my life.
No matter how we slice it…pain sucks. Emotional pain can impact the way we live our best, meaningful life sometimes. It can complicate relationships, careers, symptoms, and even how we see the world.
Through my unique experiences I found a sense of purpose as a therapist in getting to help people heal and grow through emotional conflict. I enjoy guiding individuals towards effective healing who are dealing with mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar), devasting losses (e.g., death, divorce), hopelessness (e.g., isolation, thoughts of suicide), unhelpful coping behaviors (e.g, addictions, self-harm), and managing complex mental health symptoms. I also provide support, therapy, and coaching for families who care for loved ones struggling with a diagnosis and the accompanying complications that can leave the family system stressed and searching for hope.
Healing can happen despite the ongoing stressors, past experiences, and emotional baggage that we sometimes have to lug around in life. It’s essential that we assess, collaborate, and design recovery strategies together that make healing more real and satisfying. I believe healing is built inspired by an individual’s personal strengths, tenacity, and creativity. Let’s get building that safe, effective, and peaceful healing together.
