LPC ASSOCIATE - TX (Accepting clients as of Jun 7th, 2021

Christina Davis is originally from New Orleans, but grew up a military brat so she has grown comfortable and learned through her frequent transitions, interactions, and constant changes in life the resiliency that manifests within all of us. Christina is a mother of three and military spouse, bringing to her practice the knowledge of those combined life experiences. Christina obtained her Bachelor’s degree from William Carey University and her Master’s degree in Science from Walden University with specializations in working with military populations, crisis and trauma counseling, and career counseling.

Christina strives to ensure she provides her clients with a safe and comfortable environment in which they can explore their innermost challenges. Working to meet clients where they are and assist them in working through their concerns with comparable therapeutic approaches which align with their own values and beliefs is of the utmost importance to me as a professional counselor. Through her continued ongoing training and education, she is always seeking to ensure she is meeting client’s needs and growing continuously.

Christina presently works with individuals, couples, and adolescents and believes in helping clients by working with them to gain a better understanding of themselves in order to further assist them in approaching their concerning issues and becoming successful in the future by applying practical tools to gain more out of their relationships and lives. Christina’s approach to therapy is holistic with an emphasis on overall wellness along with a focus on creating a fervent life full of meaning, joy, and purpose.

As your therapist and advocate, it is my goal to assist in navigating through life’s daily challenges. Picture being in a world where you didn’t have to travel alone. A world where you can feel safe and without judgment. Although stressors are inevitable, imagine changing your cognitions in order to handle the worlds sometime unfair yet intrinsic problems. Remember, you have not reached an impasse.

I have a number of specialty areas which include: mood disorders, substance abuse, adolescents, offenders, self-esteem, anxiety and depression. I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Intervention and Solution Focused Therapy, which encourages one to challenge distorted cognitions and attitudes in order to live a more fulfilling life.

My passion to help those in need is the driving force behind my motivation. Here there is no judgment; only a listening ear with positive regard and empathy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Prior to receiving my master’s degree, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Since becoming an LPC, I have gained experience in working with individuals with addiction disorders and mental health concerns of all kinds. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, women’s issues, trauma, relationship struggles, and personal boundaries development.

I work with and empower my clients to find the elements needed to bring about personal growth, hope, realization, and self-discovery. I believe that counseling is an empowering experience, and by working together on creating change and growth within my clients is the most rewarding part of my work as a counselor. Mental health is what I am most passionate about in life. What happens in our minds influences all that we do. My approach is always to walk right next to my clients and help them to lead themselves to a healthy space in a holistic and mindful way.
