Hello my name is Esther Alasa and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where I got my Masters in Mental and Clinical Health Counseling. I received my B.S in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. I have experience with Play Therapy, Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT and Person-Centered therapy.

Life can be hard and sometimes we just need someone to sit down and listen to us to help guide us through this journey of life. I am here to listen and offer insight through any problems. I am personable and aim to have a great, open and comfortable relationship with my clients. My desire is to establish a positive and trusting rapport with each individual I come across with. I’ve worked with a variety of populations and do not discriminate. I have experience in counseling kids and adults who have experienced traumatic and/or life changing events.

I once was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and suicidal. I had to see a therapist whom was able to aid in developing skills that’ll bring light to areas that were dark. I have been in the seat of a client and understand the roles from both ends. I look forward to hearing from you, helping you accomplish everything you want to achieve and help guide you to a healthy space in life.

In my spare time I like to travel, try new food, relax, watch Netflix and just find new adventures to engage in.

As your therapist and advocate, it is my goal to assist in navigating through life’s daily challenges. Picture being in a world where you didn’t have to travel alone. A world where you can feel safe and without judgment. Although stressors are inevitable, imagine changing your cognitions in order to handle the worlds sometime unfair yet intrinsic problems. Remember, you have not reached an impasse.

I have a number of specialty areas which include: mood disorders, substance abuse, adolescents, offenders, self-esteem, anxiety and depression. I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Intervention and Solution Focused Therapy, which encourages one to challenge distorted cognitions and attitudes in order to live a more fulfilling life.

My passion to help those in need is the driving force behind my motivation. Here there is no judgment; only a listening ear with positive regard and empathy.

Ashley Montondon

My name is Ashley and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I’ve worked in the mental health field in Houston over the past 15 years providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, program development, and peer support. When I’m not in the office I love to be running, listening to live music, and cooking my favorite shrimp tacos for the favorite people in my life.

No matter how we slice it…pain sucks. Emotional pain can impact the way we live our best, meaningful life sometimes. It can complicate relationships, careers, symptoms, and even how we see the world.

Through my unique experiences I found a sense of purpose as a therapist in getting to help people heal and grow through emotional conflict. I enjoy guiding individuals towards effective healing who are dealing with mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar), devasting losses (e.g., death, divorce), hopelessness (e.g., isolation, thoughts of suicide), unhelpful coping behaviors (e.g, addictions, self-harm), and managing complex mental health symptoms. I also provide support, therapy, and coaching for families who care for loved ones struggling with a diagnosis and the accompanying complications that can leave the family system stressed and searching for hope.

Healing can happen despite the ongoing stressors, past experiences, and emotional baggage that we sometimes have to lug around in life. It’s essential that we assess, collaborate, and design recovery strategies together that make healing more real and satisfying. I believe healing is built inspired by an individual’s personal strengths, tenacity, and creativity. Let’s get building that safe, effective, and peaceful healing together.
